Futile Anger
A snake entered a carpenter’s sack of tools. While entering, the carpenter’s saw kept in the sack pierced his body and caused a wound, causing him pain and disorienting him.
In anger, he pressed the saw firmly in both his jaws. Now there was a wound in his face too and blood started coming out.
Now being troubled by this pain, to teach a lesson to that saw, that snake wrapped its whole body on that saw and grabbed it with full force. Due to this the whole body of that snake was cut from place to place and it died.
Similarly, many a times, when we get hurt even a little, we inflict great harm on ourselves to teach a lesson to the other person.
Conclusion
There is nothing to gain from anger except loss and remorse.
